She Chose Sobriety for Her Children — A Mother’s Journey Through Heroin Addiction Recovery at TNI Rehab

After her first divorce, she remarried someone she loved. Her new husband even adopted her daughter from her previous marriage, and together they began building a new life. She moved out of her parents’ home and hoped this second chapter would be a happier one.
But her second husband was a poly-drug user, and soon, ABC was introduced to heroin for the first time.
Falling Into the Trap of Addiction
It didn’t take long before ABC lost control. What started as occasional use turned into dependence. Eventually, she began selling drugs to support their habit. Her attention drifted from her children, from the home, from herself. Her world spiraled into the streets—as a user and survivor.
She was pregnant with her third child—her second son—when she and her husband finally admitted they needed help. Despite the addiction and chaos, they still had a shred of love and motivation left—their children’s future.
The Turning Point: TNI Rehab
In March 2017, ABC was admitted to The New Inception Drug Addiction and Psychological Health Care Center (TNI Rehab) in Islamabad for a 90-day heroin addiction recovery program. Her referral came from a concerned friend. It was the best decision she could have made—not just for herself, but for her unborn child and her family.

Today, ABC is living happily with her husband and three children. She maintains her sobriety through continued therapy, personal growth, and community support.

“Life is beautiful and manageable without drugs,” she says. “What makes recovery strong is focusing on the present and trusting the process—through self-motivation or a trusted person.”
