Who outpatient care may suit
Not every woman needs, or is able, to stay at a treatment centre. Outpatient care can suit someone whose situation has been assessed as safe to manage while living at home, or someone who has completed residential treatment and wants continued support as she returns to daily life.
Where there are significant withdrawal risks, safety concerns or difficulties staying away from substances at home, the team may recommend residential care instead. That decision is made with you after assessment.
What outpatient support can include
- Scheduled one-to-one counselling sessions
- Psychiatric review where needed
- Family therapy sessions
- Relapse prevention planning
- Follow-up and aftercare appointments
Follow-ups and aftercare
TNI’s published approach recognises that recovery doesn’t end when treatment does. Follow-up appointments give a woman a regular point of contact while she rebuilds routines, relationships and confidence — and an early opportunity to ask for help if things become difficult.
